Bowie Woman Karen Scott Killed in Clay County Crash on US 59 and Frog Hollar Road

Clay County, Texas (March 6, 2019) – A woman from Bowie was among three people killed when two SUV’s collided head-on at an intersection in Clay County on Tuesday morning, according to the DPS.
Karen Scott, 49, died in the crash that happened at about 10:30 a.m. March 5, on US 59 and Frog Hollar Road.
DPS said five people in total were involved in the wreck.
Three victims, among them Scott, were pronounced dead at the scene.
One other victim was flown to Fort Worth while a fifth victim was transported to Bowie. The two victims were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The DPS is working to find out what caused the wreck.
