Katie Kerr ID’d as Woman Killed in Liberty Hill Car Crash on Highway 29
Liberty Hill, Texas (March 18, 2019) – The woman who was killed Sunday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash that left eight other people injured on a Liberty Hill highway has been identified by the family members as Katie Kerr, 33, of Spring, Texas.
The fatal crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. March 17, in the 18800 block of Highway 29.
Officers said the crash involved three vehicles; however, they didn’t tell the manner in which the collision occurred.
Kerr was declared dead at the scene. Eight other people, including five children, were taken to the hospital in unknown condition. Two of the children were airlifted.
Kerr’s family members said that her dog ran off after the crash. It is a black and white Pointer named Probie. Anyone who has seen Probie is asked to call Tyler at 713-834-7552.
The highway was closed for about two hours following the crash and has since been reopened.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
