Kayn Kemp Killed in McGregor Pedestrian Crash on South State Highway 317

McGregor, Texas (June 7, 2019) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Thursday night in McGregor, according to a police report.

The wreck happened at about 9:45 p.m. Thursday, June 6, in the 2100 block of South State Highway 317.

Police said officers responded to the incident and found a victim on the side of the road. Police believe the victim, identified as Kayn Kemp, 26, was walking long the shoulder of the road when a northbound 2005-08 white F-150 drifted off the roadway and struck him.

Kemp was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The involved vehicle probably sustained damage to its right front due to the crash.

The McGregor Police Department is investigating the collision.
