Kenia Gomez Killed in Brownsville Two-Vehicle Crash on Billy Mitchell Boulevard

Brownsville, Texas (January 7, 2022) – A woman was killed, and another person was injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Brownsville, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:28 p.m., January 5, in the 375 block of Billy Mitchell Boulevard.

Police said a gray Hyundai Sonata was exiting the Conquistador Apartment complex when it was struck on the driver’s side door by a white Ford Explorer Sports Trac.

The Sonata driver, Kenia Gomez, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ford driver was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The Brownsville police are investigating the crash.
