Kirill F. Siptak Killed in Alvin Bicycle Accident near County Road 110

Alvin, Texas (October 3, 2019) – A bicyclist was killed early Monday morning in an alleged hit-and-run accident in Alvin, according to the DPS.

The accident took place between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. September 30, in the 17500 block near County Road 110.

DPS said a vehicle was heading southbound when it hit Kirill F. Siptak, 35, of Alvin, who was riding a bicycle.

Siptak was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver failed to stop and render aid.

The police are looking for the suspect. They collected parts from the vehicle left behind at the scene; including a passenger-side mirror, passenger side headlamp and passenger side fog lamp border cover.

Police believe the vehicle is a 2015 to 2018 gray GMC Yukon SUV with significant damage to the front and passenger side.

An investigation is underway.
