Lake View Student Struck by Two Vehicles on East 43rd Street in San Angelo

15-Year-Old Lake View Student Injured in San Angelo Pedestrian Accident on East 43rd Street

San Angelo, Texas (September 26, 2019) – A 15-year-old Lake View High School student was struck by two vehicles Wednesday morning in San Angelo, according to the police.

The accident took place just before 8:00 a.m. September 25, on East 43rd Street, in front of Lake View High School.

Police said the student exited a 2009 Chevrolet HHR that was properly stopped adjacent to the curb. As she crossed in front of the Chevrolet, a 2004 Honda CRV rear-ended the HHR, pushing it into the student. The car knocked the student to the ground and the CRV and ran over her lower extremities.

The student was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The HHR driver, a 62-year-old woman, was cited for expired registration. The CRV driver, a 20-year-old woman, was cited for no Driver’s license and failure to control speed.

An investigation is underway.
