Lance Nelson Killed in Greenville Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 34 near FM 2101

Greenville, Texas (August 25, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed, and another was seriously injured Saturday evening in a head-on collision south of Greenville.

The fatal crash happened around 5:50 p.m., August 21, on State Highway 34 near FM 2101.

DPS said Lance Nelson, 22, of Forney, was driving a Ford Mustang southbound on the highway when he lost control while entering a curve and veered into the northbound lane.

The Mustang then collided head-on with a northbound Dodge Magnum.

Nelson and the Magnum driver were airlifted to Medical City Plano, where Nelson later died.

The other driver was listed in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
