Larry Granado Killed in Amarillo Two-Vehicle Crash on Hillside Road

Amarillo, Texas (March 23, 2023) – A man was killed early Wednesday morning in a head-on collision in Amarillo, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 12:15 a.m., March 22, in the 6400 block of Hillside Road.

Police said Larry Granado, 56, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado westbound while a 2002 Chevrolet was heading eastbound.

The two pickups collided head-on in the turning lane.

Granado was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the 2002 Silverado, a 30-year-old man, and the passenger, a 24-year-old woman, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The APD’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
