Larry Williams Killed in Plainview Crash at SW 4th Street and S Columbia

Larry Williams ID’d as Man Killed in Semi-Truck Accident at SW 4th Street and S Columbia in Plainview

Plainview, Texas (April 12, 2023) – Authorities have identified the man who died Monday, six days after he was involved in a traffic accident in Plainview as Larry Williams of Matador.

The crash occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at the intersection of SW 4th Street and S Columbia.

Authorities said Williams was crossing the intersection, heading eastbound on 4th Street, when he drove into the path of travel of a semi-truck that was traveling northbound on Columbia.

Both vehicles eventually collided at the intersection.

Williams sustained serious injuries and was transported to Covenant Hospital. On April 10, his condition deteriorated, and he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck did not suffer any injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
