Lauren Burrows Killed in New Caney Pedestrian Accident on FM 1485 near King Lane

New Caney, Texas (March 10, 2021) – The woman who was killed on Thursday in a pedestrian accident in New Caney has been identified as Lauren Burrows,29, of Marietta, GA, according to the DPS.

The accident happened around 1:58 a.m., March 4, on FM 1485 near King Lane.

DPS said Burrows was walking on the southbound lane of the highway and on the wrong side of the roadway when she was hit by a southbound 2008 Toyota 4Runner.

Burrows, who was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash, was taken to Memorial Hermann Medical Center (The Woodlands), where she later died.

The Toyota driver, Sebastian Perez, 59, of New Caney, was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
