Leon Roff Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 87 in Call Community 

Leon Roff Injured in Call Community Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 87 at FM 2460

Call Community, Texas (July 4, 2022) – A man was injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in the Call Community, according to the troopers.

The crash happened shortly after 10:00 a.m., July 3, on Highway 87 at Farm to Market Road 2460, between the Bleakwood and Trout Creek Communities.

Troopers said Leon Roff, 73, from the Call Community, was driving a 2005 Ford pickup truck westbound FM 2460 when he attempted to cross over Highway 87 and was struck by a southbound 2022 Dodge pickup truck that was towing a trailer.

Roff was taken to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont for treatment.

The Dodge driver was uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
