Leticia Palma Garcia ID’d as Woman Killed in Elgin Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1704 at Beaver Road

Elgin, Texas (October 5, 2019) – The woman who was killed in a head-on collision last month near Elgin has been identified as Leticia Palma Garcia,58, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The fatal collision took place at about 11:34 p.m. on September 29, at the intersection of FM 1704 and Beaver Road.

DPS said Garcia was driving a Honda westbound on Beaver Road while a Dodge Ram pickup truck was heading southbound on FM 1704.

Garcia allegedly turned southbound instead of northbound and crashed head-on into the Dodge.

Garcia was declared dead at the scene.

The Dodge driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
