Lillian Thornburgh Critically Injured in Tyler Two-Vehicle Crash on Broadway Avenue; Jason Charles Arrested

Tyler, Texas (January 18, 2022) – A 17-year-old was critically injured Friday night in a DWI crash in Tyler, according to the police.

The crash happened around 10:52 p.m., January 14, in the 2600 block of South Broadway Avenue.

Police said two pickups were involved in the crash. 

One of the drivers, Lillian Dawn Thornburgh, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The other driver, Jason Charles, 24, of Tyler, was arrested for Intoxication Assault causes brain injury vegetative state. His bond was set at $200,000.

The police are investigating the crash.
