Lindsey Luchsinger Killed in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on East Slaton Highway at Southeast Drive

Lubbock, Texas (October 9, 2020) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision early Wednesday morning in Lubbock, according to police.

The fatal crash occurred around 5:45 a.m., October 7, in the 4200 block of East Slaton Highway at Southeast Drive.

Police said a tractor-trailer was traveling northwest on E. Slaton Highway and exited onto the one-way access road toward Southeast Drive. Lindsey Luchsinger, 43, was driving a Jeep southeast on Southeast Drive, approaching the intersection where the access road of E. Slaton Highway, Southeast Drive, and E. County Road 7100 meet.

Luchsinger continued heading southeast through the intersection and drove the wrong way on the access road. The Jeep then collided with the tractor-trailer.

Luchsinger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
