Lisi Rodriguez-Bencosme among Two Injured in San Antonio Hit-and-Run Accident on Culebra; Lexin Mejia Hernandez Arrested

San Antonio, Texas (July 14, 2019) – Two people were injured last month in an alleged hit-and-run accident in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened on June 17, in the 3900 block of Culebra.

Police said 23-year-old Lexin Mejia Hernandez was driving an SUV when he crashed into a Toyota sedan driven by 31-year-old Lisi Rodriguez-Bencosme.

Hernandez fled the scene after the accident.

Rodriguez-Bencosme and her passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment, where she still remains hospitalized. Her passenger spent six days in the hospital.

Hernandez was later arrested and was charged with one count of Failure to Stop and Render Aid, resulting in serious bodily injury. His bond was set at $15,000.

The crash remains under investigation.
