Louisiana Man Killed in Head-On Crash on Hwy 315 in Rusk County

27-Year-Old Man Killed in Rusk County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 315

Rusk County, Texas (August 19, 2020) – A 27-year-old Louisiana man was killed in a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon in Rusk County, according to DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 1:30 p.m., August 18, on Highway 315.

DPS said the man was driving a 2016 Ford F-250 towing a trailer southwest on the highway when he veered into the northbound traffic and collided head-on with an 18-wheeler.

The Ford driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was taken to CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
