Lucas Wayne Harrison ID’d as Man Killed in Coleman County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 153

Coleman County, Texas (August 2, 2019) – The man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Coleman County has been identified as Lucas Wayne Harrison, 32, of Dalhart, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened at about 1:26 p.m. July 31, on Highway 153.

DPS said Harrison was driving a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria eastbound while a 2015 Ford Expedition, with two occupants, was heading westbound.

For an unknown reason, Harrison crossed the center stripe, entered the westbound lane and sideswiped the Expedition. The impact caused the Victoria to go into a side skid and roll an unknown number of times. Harrison was partially ejected.

Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Both occupants in the Expedition were uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation.
