Luis Molina-Garcia Killed in El Paso Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10 at Lomaland

El Paso, Texas (November 22, 2021) – One person was killed early Sunday morning in a wrong-way crash in El Paso, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just before 5:00 a.m., November 21, on Interstate 10 at Lomaland.

Police said Luis Fernando Molina-Garcia, 21, was driving his car the wrong way when he crashed head-on into an 18-wheeler.

The impact caused Molina-Garcia’s car to burst into flames.

Molina-Garcia was killed in the crash. He was likely intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The semi-truck driver and his passenger were uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed I-10 eastbound at Lomaland.

The crash remains under investigation.
