Austin, Texas (October 31, 2019) – The elderly woman who was killed earlier this month in a traffic collision in Austin has been identified as Lydia Quintanilla, according to the police.

The fatal crash occurred just after 11:30 a.m. October 10, at the Interstate 35 northbound frontage road and Stassney Lane.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2005 white Toyota Sienna was heading northbound on the frontage road of I-35 before making a left turn to head westbound on Stassney Lane.

A 2000 brown Chevrolet van was at the light facing westbound in the inside lane while a 2014 red Nissan Altima was also facing westbound at the light in the outside lane. The light turned green and both drivers entered the intersection.

The Sienna struck the Chevrolet before hitting the Altima.
