Lyla Lott Injured in Cypress Bicycle Accident at Keystone Green Drive and Fir Knoll Way; Meaghan Mancill Charged

Cypress, Texas (July 14, 2020) – A 9-year-old girl was injured Saturday evening in a hit-and-run bicycle accident in the Villages of Cypress Lakes neighborhood, a local news source reported.

The accident happened at about 7:40 p.m. July 11, at the corner of Keystone Green Drive and Fir Knoll Way.

According to the report, Lyla Lott was crossing the street on her bicycle when she was struck by a car driven by Meaghan Mancill.

Mancill fled the scene without rendering aid.

A neighbor stopped to help Lott and called her family.

A neighbor’s Ring doorbell camera captured the accident.

Lott sustained a big scratch on her knee and some bumps and bruises.

Deputies contacted Mancill, and she denied knowing anything about the crash. Mancil later confessed. She has been charged with felony failure to stop and render aid.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Mancill, and the deputies are looking for her.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
