Mahamed Kahin Killed in Laredo Pedestrian Accident on Mines Road

Mahamed Kahin ID’d as Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle on Mines Road

Laredo, Texas (August 7, 2022) – The man who died after he was hit by a vehicle Friday night in Laredo as Mahamed Qalinle Kahin, 72, of Canada.

The deadly crash happened at around 11:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, in the 11900 block of Mines Road.

Kahin was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a white Kia Telluride.

Kahin, who was a part of a trucking company, had become lost and was trying to verify an address before crossing the street.

Kahin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Kia, a 27-year-old woman, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. She was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
