Man Critically Injured in Austin Pedestrian Accident at 5th Street and Lavaca Street

Austin, Texas (November 12, 2019) – A man in his 30s was critically injured in a pedestrian accident Tuesday morning in downtown Austin, according to a local news source.

The accident happened around 9:15 a.m., at the intersection of 5th Street and Lavaca Street.

Officials said the man was hit by a vehicle at the intersection and was briefly pinned underneath the car.

The victim was taken to the hospital with critical life threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
