Man killed in San Antonio Train Crash near Poplar Street

San Antonio, Texas (June 3, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a train on Sunday afternoon in San Antonio, according to a police report.

The incident was reported at around 1 p.m. Sunday, June 2, in the 1300 block of West Poplar Street.

Police said a man walked into the path of an oncoming train for unknown reasons and was hit.

The victim died at the site of the collision. He was only identified as a man in his 50s.

The crash is under investigation.
