Man Hit, Injured by Vehicle While Changing Flat Tire on Interstate 69 in Porter

Man Injured in Porter Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 69 near FM 1314

Porter, Texas (April 18, 2023) – A man was injured after being struck by a vehicle while he was changing a flat tire on an interstate in Porter, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday, April 16, in the southbound lanes of Interstate 69, just north of FM 1314.

As per the report, the man was helping his daughter change a flat tire on the shoulder of Interstate 69 when a Ford Expedition hit him.

The unidentified man was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood Hospital in unknown condition.

The man driving the Expedition was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation by the DPS.
