Man Hit, Killed by Car on U.S. 181 South in San Antonio

Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on U.S. 181 South near Old Corpus Christi Highway

San Antonio, Texas (May 15, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident Thursday night in San Antonio, according to police.

The fatal accident happened around 10:16 p.m. May 14, on Highway 181 South, just east of Old Corpus Christi Highway.

Police said the man was walking in an unlit and very dark place when he was struck by a Ford Mustang that was heading eastbound. Pedestrians are prohibited from walking on that part of the highway. 

The man was wearing very dark clothing and the driver didn’t see him.

 The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Investigators said the driver was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
