Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident at W Military and Five Palms

San Antonio, Texas (August 29, 2020) – A man in his 40s was hit and killed by a truck Friday night in San Antonio’s Westside, according to authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 10:30 p.m., August 28, at the intersection of W Military and Five Palms.

Authorities said a man was crossing the street when he was hit by a truck. The driver was unable to see the man crossing the street due to poor lighting. 

The driver stopped to render aid and called 911.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Officers said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
