Man Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10 near Giles Road
El Paso, Texas (June 17, 2022) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a truck Wednesday night on an interstate in El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.
The deadly pedestrian crash occurred at around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, on Interstate 10 East near Giles Road.
Police said the pedestrian, only identified as a man, was walking across the freeway when he was hit by a 2007 pickup truck.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 55-year-old Jose Luis Vazquez Moreno, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
