Man Dies in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10 at Taylor

Houston, Texas (July 22, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday morning in Houston, police said.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened on Interstate 10 at Taylor.

According to the police, the man was walking on the freeway when for an unknown reason, he was hit by a vehicle.

The man died in the accident. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family. Authorities said the victim was homeless.

The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the crash.

All eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 at Interstate 45 North were shut down while police investigate.

The crash remains under investigation.
