Dallas Man Injured in Plainview Pedestrian Crash on West Fifth Street

Plainview, Texas (June 19, 2019) – A Dallas man was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday morning in Plainview, according to a police report.

The crash took place at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday, June 15, in the 600 block of West Fifth Street.

The pedestrian was reportedly lying in the roadway when a blue Audi struck him. The driver involved fled the scene after the incident.

The victim sustained critical injuries and was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock.

Police said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.

The Plainview Police Department is investigating the incident.
