Man Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10 in Jefferson County

Vidor Man Injured in Jefferson County Crash on Interstate 10
Jefferson County, Texas (March 18, 2019) – A Vidor was injured Sunday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Jefferson County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck happened at about 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17 on Interstate 10 near mile marker 841.
The DPS said a BMW car was heading eastbound on Interstate 10 when the driver developed a medical emergency and lost control.  The BMW then veer into the cable barriers.
According to the DPS, a cable wire snapped and hit a pickup truck that was traveling in the eastbound traffic lanes. The force of the impact dislodged a tire, which went into the westbound lane, striking a commercial vehicle.
The Vidor man sustained unknown injuries as a result of the crash. His name and condition were not immediately disclosed.
The crash affected both the eastbound and westbound sides on Interstate 10.
The crash remains under investigation.
