Man Killed, Another Injured in Truck Crash on SH 71 in Spicewood

One Killed and One Seriously Injured in Spicewood Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 71

Spicewood, Texas (June 12, 2020) – A man was killed, and another was injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Spicewood, according to officials.

The fatal crash was reported around 2:45 p.m. on June 11, on State Highway 71 near Bob Wire Road.

Officials said the crash involved a truck and an 18-wheeler.

One person was pinned in one of the vehicles.

A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Another man in his 50s was airlifted to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed all eastbound lanes of SH 71 before Bob Wire Road.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
