Man Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Crash on U.S. Highway 190 East in Jasper

One Killed and One Seriously Injured in Jasper Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 190 East 

Jasper, Texas (April 21, 2020) – A man was killed, and another was seriously injured Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Jasper, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash occurred at about 7:00 p.m. April 20, on U.S. Highway 190 East.

According to the report, an unloaded 18-wheeler chip truck was traveling eastbound when it was involved in a collision with a late model Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck pulling a horse trailer with a horse.

The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was taken by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital and was later airlifted to a Beaumont hospital. His condition was not disclosed.

The horse was taken to a neighbor’s yard and was later taken into the care of Jasper Animal Control.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
