Man Dies in East Austin Pedestrian Collision on I-35 at 51st Street

Austin, Texas (April 21, 2019) – A man  was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday morning in east Austin, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.
The incident took place in the 5100 block of I-35 at 51st Street.
It’s unclear how the pedestrian was hit.
Medics said the victim, a man in his 40s, was in critical condition as he was being transported to Dell Seton Medical Center. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The authorities are conducting an investigation into the collision.
