Man Killed in Dump Truck Crash on FM 55 at Tees Road in Ellis County

38-Year-Old Man Killed in Ellis County Dump Truck Crash on FM 55 at Tees Road

Ellis County, Texas (September 15, 2020) – A 38-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in rural Ellis County, outside of Waxahachie, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened at about 7:30 a.m., September 14, on FM 55 at Tees Road, south of the Avalon community.

Troopers said an SUV was heading southbound on FM 55 when it slowed down to turn left onto Tees Road and was hit on the driver’s side by a dump truck.

The SUV driver was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The dump truck driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
