Person Killed in San Antonio Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Highway 281

San Antonio, Texas (February 1, 2020) – A man was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio, according to the police.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Highway 281 near St. Mary’s Street.

Police said the man was walking on the shoulder of the highway when he was hit by a pickup truck.

According to a witness, the driver of the truck lost control after hitting the pedestrian. The truck also hit the vehicle of the witness and a guardrail.

The victim was declared dead at the scene.

The pickup driver, described as a white male in a hoodie, fled the scene on foot. The authorities are actively looking for the suspect.

The crash remains under investigation.
