Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on South Freeway near Almeda Genoa Road

Houston, Texas (April 28, 2021) – A man was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:00 p.m., April 25, on South Freeway, on the onramp to State Highway 288, near Almeda Genoa Road.

Police said the man was walking when he was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released.

The authorities are looking for the hit-and-run driver. They will likely face charges of failure to stop and render aid.

The police are investigating the crash.
