Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on East Freeway near East Loop

Houston, Texas (May 6, 2022) – A man was killed Thursday night in a hit-and-run accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 10:30 p.m., on May 5, on the East Freeway near the East Loop.

Police said the man was trying to cross the main lanes of the freeway when he was struck by two vehicles.

The man was found lying on the eastbound ramp onto Highway 90 and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Both drivers fled the scene after the crash, and the authorities are looking for them.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division at 713-247-4072.
