Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Gessner Road at Northwest Freeway in Houston

One Killed in Houston Motorcycle Accident on Gessner Road at Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290)

Houston, Texas (May 6, 2020) – A man was killed Monday afternoon in a motorcycle accident in Houston, according to police.

The deadly crash occurred at about 4:25 p.m. May 4, at the intersection of 6800 Gessner Road and Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road.

Police said the man was riding a white Suzuki GSX motorcycle southbound on Gessner Road when he ran a red light at the intersection and struck the trailer of an 18-wheeler that was heading eastbound on the service road.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash.
