Man Killed in Austin Scooter Accident at Enfield Road and Newfield Lane

Austin, Texas (September 19, 2021) – A man in his 30s was killed early Saturday morning in a scooter accident in central Austin, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 2:51 a.m., September 18, at the intersection of Enfield Road and Newfield Lane.

Authorities said the man was riding a scooter when he collided with a vehicle at the intersection.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the accident and didn’t need treatment by the EMS.

No other details were provided.

An investigation is underway.
