1 Killed and Several Injured in Dumas Big Rig Crash on U.S. 287 near Roosters

Dumas, Texas (August 19, 2019) – A man was killed and several other people were injured Saturday morning in a big rig crash in Dumas near Roosters, according to the police.

The fatal crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. August 17, on U.S. 287.

Police said two semi-trucks collided for unknown reasons on the highway. One of the semis left the roadway, hitting several pedestrians in front of Roosters.

One man was declared dead at the scene. Several other victims were taken to the hospital in unknown conditions.

The crash remains under investigation.
