Man Killed in Ward County Train Crash on CR 135

Ward County, Texas (July 3, 2019) – A man was killed when a vehicle he was driving collided with a train on Monday evening in Ward County, according to the DPS.

The wreck took place at about 5 p.m. July 1, on County Road 135 east of Barstow.

Authorities said a man was driving a 2019 Ford 550 pickup when he collided with a Union Pacific Train on CR 135.

The driver of the Ford was killed in the crash.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
