Man Hospitalized after Austin Bicycle Crash on I-35

Austin, Texas (July 4, 2019) – A man riding a bicycle was struck and injured by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Austin, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The collision was reported at about 2 a.m. on I-35 frontage road between East Rundberg Lane and Highway 183.

Medics said the victim, a man in his 30s, was struck by an SUV.

The rider was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
