Man Seriously Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 35 in Austin             

Man Hospitalized after Austin Crash on Interstate 35 between Old San Antonio Road and FM Road 1626

Austin, Texas (August 17, 2019) – A man was seriously injured early Friday morning in a traffic collision in Austin, according to a local news source.

The crash occurred just after 3:00 a.m. Friday, August 16 on Interstate 35 between Old San Antonio Road and Farm to Market Road 1626.

Authorities said a man in his 30s was driving a sedan down the roadway when for an unknown reason, his vehicle collided with a semi-truck.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated the man who was trapped inside his vehicle. He was then taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries.

The name and condition of the patient at this time were not disclosed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
