Man Struck, Critically Injured by Vehicle on Marbach Road in San Antonio

Man Hospitalized after San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Marbach Road

San Antonio, Texas (May 3, 2022) – A man was struck and injured by a vehicle Saturday night in San Antonio, San Antonio police said.

The pedestrian crash happened at about 9:47 p.m. Saturday, April 30, in the 8100 block of Marbach Road.

According to San Antonio police, the man was walking across Marbach Road when he was hit by a silver car.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the silver car fled the scene but was later arrested by police. Authorities determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  He was eventually arrested and charged with hit-and-run and DUI.

No other details about the crash were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
