One Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35 near Middle Fiskville Road
Austin, Texas (January 16, 2019) – A man in his 30s was fatally struck by a semi-truck Tuesday morning on an Austin freeway, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at about 6:30 a.m. January 15, in the 9500 block of I-35 South near Middle Fiskville Road.
Austin police said the man was attempting to cross the freeway when a semi-truck struck him.
The man was killed in the crash. His name was not immediately disclosed.
All the southbound lanes of the freeway were closed for several hours by the police as they worked on the scene. The lanes were later reopened at about 10:00 a.m.
The police are investigating the crash.
