Man Struck, Killed by 18-Wheeler on I-30 in Garland

Man Killed in Garland Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 30 near Rosehill Road

Garland, Texas (March 25, 2021) – A man was fatally struck by an 18-wheeler Thursday morning in Garland, according to police.

The deadly accident occurred around 4:00 a.m., on Interstate 30 near Rosehill Road.

Police said two 18-wheelers were traveling westbound on the interstate when one of them swerved to avoid the man who was walking on the roadway. The second 18-wheeler didn’t stop in time and hit the man.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died. His name has not been released.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The Garland police are investigating the crash.
