Man Killed in Irving Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 183 near Esters Road

Irving, Texas (August 12, 2022) – According to the authorities, a man was fatally hit by an 18-wheeler Friday morning in Irving.

The deadly accident happened just after 3:30 a.m., on State Highway 183 near Esters Road in front of Irving Mall.

Authorities said the man was attempting to cross the highway and was running southbound across the westbound lanes when an 18-wheeler hit him.

The man was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of the highway until just before 9:00 a.m.

An investigation is underway.
