Manuel Guel Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on I-10 near DeZavala Road

San Antonio, Texas (August 2, 2021) – A man was killed, and two other people were injured Sunday night in a rollover crash in San Antonio’s Northwest Side, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 10:00 p.m., August 1, on Interstate 10 near DeZavala Road.

Police said Manuel Guel, 51, was driving a Nissan in the right lane of the interstate when a Dodge tried to move from the second lane to the exit lane.

The lane change was unsafe, causing the Dodge driver to lose control and hit the barrels in front of the Nissan.

Guel was unable to avoid the crash and collided with the Dodge.

The impact caused both vehicles to roll over, and Guel was ejected. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Guel was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

A passenger in the Nissan was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another passenger was treated and released at the scene.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
