Maria Loya Killed in Martin County Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Martin County, Texas (December 11, 2021) – One person was killed Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Martin County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:15 p.m., December 9, on Interstate 20, near mile marker 152, five miles west of Stanton.

DPS said two semi-trucks and a 2020 Chevrolet Trax were traveling eastbound on the interstate when they collided.

All the vehicles caught fire after the collision.

The Chevrolet driver, Maria Louisa Loya, 48, of Odessa, was killed in the crash.

The drivers of the semi-trucks were uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
