Marijane Deen, Michael Vickery, and Susan Vickery Injured in Bryan Two-Vehicle Crash on OSR Highway at Old Spanish Trail

Bryan, Texas (July 30, 2021) – One person was killed, and three others were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash north of Bryan, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened just after 1:00 p.m., July 28, on OSR highway at Old Spanish Trail near Highway 6.

DPS said a 2017 Toyota passenger car was traveling southwest on OSR and was attempting to turn left onto Old Spanish Trail when it failed to yield the right of way and was hit by a 2007 Dodge passenger car that was traveling northeast.

The Toyota driver, Marijane Deen, 76, of Bryan, was taken to St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

The Dodge driver, Michael Vickery, 56, of Beeville, was also taken to St. Joseph Regional Hospital for treatment. 

One of the two passengers in the Dodge, Willie Vickery, 78, of Beeville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other passenger, Susan Vickery, 77, of Beeville, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
